Weekend in Bemidji

We went to Bemidji last weekend to celebrate Amy's moms 70th birthday. The family threw a party for her on Saturday night. My sister Karen and her husband Mike own MJB Home Center in Bemidji-- a store that sells home appliances, lawn mowers and other home stuff. Sometimes when we have a large family gathering we have parties there because there is plenty a room for everyone to be in the same room and visit.

And my mom making a speech about receiving "Jesus." The picture of Jesus came from my grandmothers house. After she passed away last year and the family cleaned out her house, no one really wanted the picture of Jesus ---and yet, no one could quite throw it away either. So it started getting stuck in people's suitcases, cars, homes... anything to get someone else to take it! It's been quite a few places already, but mom was lucky enough to get him as a birthday present. I happen to know he is already on his way to a new home, but I can't yet spill the beans on the lucky new owner...
