And the Oscar goes to...

We always enjoy getting together with friends for a little Oscar fun. We may not see movies anymore (thanks a lot, Jason), but we can still enjoy a little of Hollywood fawning all over itself.

Here Jane thanks the Academy after her big win. She guessed 14 of the 24 categories correct! Lucky her to win the package of adhesive mustaches. And please don't ever actually grow a mustache Jane... You look soooooo CREEPY!

With only 10 correct guesses, DeAnn was the big loser who "sucked the most." But no one goes away disappointed... She was able to take home her own set of "Parasite Pals" stickers.

What? You've never heard of Parasite Pals? Check out the link and make friends with Tickles the Tapeworm!

Other big wins included Erica as "most glamorous"- for which she won something bedazzling. Michelle won a dress-your-own sticker doll for the most fashion commentary. The Trifecta prize (three of the top four categories correct) went to Bev, which meant she walked away with a Triceratops Sand Art project.

Thank goodness only 5 people showed up. Everyone left with a prize! By the way, the prizes did have a theme: all of them had some sort of Adhesive. Hey, no one said the theme had to make sense.

I Can't Believe it's Not Butter!

If we could read Jason's mind...we're sure the following is what he was thinking just before this picture was taken...

"Wow...look at all the awesome blocks around me! Look at all the wonderful shapes that go into the sweet red shape-sorter pail. That's a cool orange fish right there! That amazing colorful toy that my moms picked out is out of this world. Whoa! But check out that butter tub!!! Now that's what I'm talkin' about!"

Snuggling on the Couch

Last Friday we went to Karen and Will's for Pizza night... Delicious! How cute are Liam and Jason laying on the couch?

Liam wanted to get under the covers and pretend to go to sleep. We put Jason under too, and though I don't think he really got the pretending part, he found it extremely funny and was giggling like crazy. Liam just turned 3 on Sunday. Hope you had a great birthday Liam!

All I Want For Presidents' Day is...

My two front teeth! :-)

Jason's first tooth arrived about December 22...which is pretty early, we've been told (he was a day over 5 months). And not just one tooth came early...but FOUR teeth were in before January 7th. All four teeth were on the bottom (see pic 1) and just this week he's finally getting one on top...and the second top one isn't far behind (see pic 2). He has been handling teething pretty well...with a lot of drooling and biting on everything in sight.

Wisconsin Dells!

Here are some pictures of our weekend trip to WI Dells (Thanks Nana and Papa!). It was Jason's first time in a pool...

and on a Merry-Go-Round!

We had a great time!

Frustration

Jason is so darn close to crawling. He can get his chest way up in the air, and then can get his butt up too... but only for a tiny second.

It's sad though because he can't go forward yet! He will look at whatever is in front of him, and you can tell he wants to get there. But instead of moving forward he moves backwards and ends up farther away from whatever it is he wants.

I guess he may as well learn it now. It's a hard knock life, kid!

Winter Fun!

Okay, so last weeks trip to Babies 'r Us was intended for practical reasons. Jason needs a new car seat, and baby gates were on sale (we still haven't finished babyproofing the house).

But did we come home with a carseat or a babygate? No. But we came home with a blue plastic sled! Took a spin or two around the yard... Jason loved it! We'd like to bring him out again today, but it's too cold. Brrrrrrrrr.... -A
